Summary
Provides strategic and operational leadership for the planning, implementation, optimization, and support of enterprise revenue cycle applications. Ensures that revenue cycle technologies effectively enable organizational financial performance, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency across the full revenue lifecycle—from patient access and charge capture through billing, claims management, and reimbursement. Leads system governance, vendor partnerships, and cross‑functional collaboration to drive process improvement, data integrity, and technology-enabled transformation.
The starting annual salary for this position is $156,757 and this can include a comprehensive benefits package.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
- Master's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration or a related field and the equivalent of six (6) years of full-time experience in healthcare information technology including three (3) years focused on revenue cycle applications and two (2) years in a supervisory, consultative, managerial or executive capacity.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration or a related field and the equivalent of eight (8) years of full-time experience in healthcare information technology including three (3) years focused on revenue cycle applications and two (2) years in a supervisory, consultative, managerial or executive capacity.
Note
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
- Technical Skills: Experience with RCM systems (Athena IDX preferred), ITIL principles, ServiceNow, integration/interoperability.
- Revenue Cycle Applications Experience: Focus on revenue cycle applications (e.g., Athena IDX, RCM systems).
- Healthcare IT Experience
- Supervisory/Managerial Experience
