Jr. Python Developer
(Charlotte, NC / Detroit, MI – Hybrid)
Optomi, in partnership with a leading enterprise organization in the financial services industry, is seeking an experienced Jr. Python Developer for a hybrid opportunity in either Charlotte, NC or Detroit, MI! This individual will play a key role in leading quality assurance efforts across large-scale technology initiatives, ensuring high-quality software delivery through the full Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC). The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, deep testing expertise, and the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams. Experience of the right candidate:
- 5\+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, Software Testing, or related fields.
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with the full Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Experience developing and executing test strategies, test plans, and test cases.
- Proven experience leading testing efforts and coordinating activities across QA teams.
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including Development, Product, and Business stakeholders.
- Experience working within Agile environments.
- Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and meet project deadlines.
Responsibilities of the right candid
- ate:Lead and coordinate testing activities throughout the full Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Develop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and testing documentation.
- Execute and oversee functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing efforts.
- Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure timely defect remediation.
- Provide status updates and communicate testing progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
- Continuously improve testing processes, methodologies, and best practices.
- Mentor junior QA team members and provide guidance on testing standards.
- Participate in requirements reviews to ensure testability and quality expectations are met.
- Serve as a quality advocate, ensuring software releases meet business and technical requirememts
