As a Founding Engineer at Forgepoint, you will build the digital backbone of American manufacturing. You’ll ship core AI features, integrate with legacy ERP systems, and architect scalable TypeScript systems. Working directly with the CEO and CTO, you will visit shop floors and own the product lifecycle from 0 to 1\.

What You Will Do

• Design and implement core AI-driven features using LLMs to automate complex manufacturing workflows like quoting, purchasing, and sales coordination.
• Architect and scale distributed services while integrating with messy legacy ERP and CRM systems to bridge the gap between AI and factory data.
• Collaborate directly with customers on shop floors across the USA to prototype, test, and iterate on features based on immediate user feedback.

The ideal candidate

• Has 2-8\+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally combining time at a top-tier tech company with early-stage startup or founder experience.
• Demonstrates deep proficiency in full-stack TypeScript (React and Node.js) and a passion for experimenting with modern AI and LLM orchestration tools.
• Possesses a high-ownership mindset, thriving in ambiguity and taking responsibility for product requirements, deployment, observability, and long-term maintenance.
