Job Description
This is a hybrid role to downtown Chicago and direct hire role.
Database Administration Manager
Lead and manage a team of database administrators responsible for the availability, performance, security, and recoverability of enterprise databases. Partner with project teams and business stakeholders to ensure data integrity, support production environments, oversee database design and change management, and drive operational excellence. Manage staffing, performance, career development, training, budgeting, and cross-functional initiatives while providing leadership across the Production and IT organizations.
Key Qualifications:
- 7\+ years of database administration experience and 3\+ years leading database teams
- Expertise in SQL databases including DB2, Sybase, Informix, SQL Server, EDB, and PostgreSQL
- Strong understanding of database architecture, design, and the software development lifecycle
- Experience supporting multiple database technologies across diverse operating systems
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (Cloud certification preferred)
