Regional Controller Compon
Responsibilities
Financial Leadership \& Strategy
- Serve as the regional financial leader for all fabrication facilities within the Mexico region, reporting directly to the Fabrication VP of Finance and functionally supporting the Regional Fabrication Operations VP.
- Drive the annual budgeting process, periodic forecasting, and long-range strategic planning for the regional fabrication segment.
- Partner with site management and regional operations teams to identify cost-saving opportunities, efficiency improvements, and process optimization strategies.
- Provide timely and insightful financial analysis on key performance indicators (KPIs), operational variances, capital expenditures (CapEx), and product line profitability.
Accounting, Control \& Compliance
- Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timely reporting of all financial data in compliance with US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements, and our company’s policies and procedures.
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring all reporting deadlines are met.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
Team Management \& Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop the site-level financial teams within the fabrication facilities, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Promote cross-functional collaboration between finance, operations, engineering, and supply chain teams.
Qualifications
Education \& Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 10-12 years of progressive experience in financial management, with at least 5-7 years in a Controller or Senior Financial Management role within a multi-plant manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Strong, verifiable experience in a multinational company operating in Mexico is essential.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills along with professional verbal and written communication skills.
Skills \& Attributes
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is mandatory.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate remote teams across multiple locations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Results-driven with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines and achieving goals.
