Role Description
Johnson \& Wales University is seeking an innovative and dedicated Faculty Member in Counselor Education. This full-time, on-site position is based in Providence, RI. Responsibilities include designing and delivering engaging curriculum in Counselor Education, actively participating in academic advising, mentoring graduate students, contributing to program development, and engaging in scholarly activities. The role also requires collaboration in department initiatives and promoting a student-centered learning environment.
Qualifications
- Proven expertise in Counselor Education, with knowledge in school counseling, clinical mental health, or related fields.
- Strong teaching, mentoring, and academic advising skills within a university setting.
- Research proficiency with a commitment to scholarly activities and contributions to the field of Counselor Education.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills for effective interaction with students, faculty, and staff.
- A doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) in Counselor Education and Supervision from a CACREP accredited institution or a closely related field (CACREP-accredited degree preferred).
- Eligibility for or possession of appropriate counseling licensure and certifications.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching, mentoring, and professional activities.
- Experience in developing curriculum and implementing innovative teaching strategies is a plus.
