AVP, Engineering (Apps & Solutions)

For our client, we are seeking a AVP Engineering (apps \& Solutions) to join the team of a leader in the Technical Services space. This role will lead initiatives at the intersection of scalable technology, AI-enabled capabilities, and business transformation. You will work across engineering, product, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and long-term innovation within a Technical Services environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $239,300 – $299,100 annually

Responsibilities

• Own technical direction for member-facing applications and define architectural standards
• Lead architectural reviews and ensure alignment with the company’s roadmap
• Maintain hands-on engagement with engineers on architecture and system design
• Ensure end-to-end delivery accountability from scoping to post-launch stability
• Implement practices for tracking delivery health and metrics across projects
• Serve as senior engineering point of contact for strategic clients
• Translate complex technical realities into clear communication for non-technical stakeholders

Qualifications

• 12\+ years of progressive software engineering experience
• 5\+ years in engineering leadership roles managing teams
• Proven track record owning end-to-end delivery of complex SaaS products
• Deep experience with member-facing or consumer-facing applications
• Health tech experience preferred, with knowledge of HIPAA or equivalent regulations
• Strong architectural fluency in cloud-native systems and microservices
• Active use of AI tools in engineering and leadership workflows
