, helping define the technical vision, architecture, and user experience for a next-generation native iOS application. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping a product used by millions while working alongside talented teams across Product, Design, Backend Engineering, and Executive Leadership.

What You'll Do

• Own the iOS application end-to-end across core customer journeys including discovery, booking, account management, and post-purchase experiences.
• Design and build a scalable native iOS codebase from the ground up.
• Establish architecture patterns, state management approaches, networking layers, testing strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and release processes.
• Partner closely with Product and Design teams to create intuitive, polished, and highly engaging mobile experiences.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to define API contracts that support performance, resilience, and future scalability.
• Drive improvements in app startup time, navigation, rendering performance, networking efficiency, stability, and offline experiences.
• Implement thoughtful analytics and observability practices to support data-driven product decisions.
• Set a high bar for engineering excellence through code reviews, testing discipline, and pragmatic technical standards.
• Influence long-term mobile strategy, helping determine where native mobile can create the greatest impact for the business.
• Serve as a foundational leader who will help shape future hiring, mentorship, and the broader mobile engineering culture.
• Contribute to product discussions by advocating for exceptional user experiences and thoughtful technical tradeoffs.

Required Qualifications

• 5\+ years of experience building production iOS applications at meaningful consumer scale.
• Strong expertise in

Swift

and modern iOS development practices.

• Experience creating polished native experiences with exceptional attention to usability, responsiveness, performance, and edge cases.
• Demonstrated success leading or significantly influencing architecture decisions for large iOS applications.
• Deep understanding of software engineering fundamentals including testing, code quality, observability, release management, and operational ownership.
• Ability to balance speed with long-term maintainability and technical excellence.
• Experience collaborating closely with backend teams on APIs, data contracts, and system design considerations.
• Strong product instincts with the ability to simplify complex workflows into elegant user experiences.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with enthusiasm for zero-to-one initiatives and broad ownership.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, low-ego approach to problem solving.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on high-growth consumer products with substantial user engagement.
• Background in startup environments where adaptability, speed, and ownership are critical.
• Passion for crafting exceptional mobile experiences that delight users while driving measurable business outcomes.
• Previous experience mentoring engineers or helping establish engineering best practices.
