A leading employee-owned engineering and construction firm is seeking an
Associate Electrical Enginee
r to provide senior technical leadership across complex, high-impact projects in the datacenter, healthcare, mission-critical, and federal markets.
This is a key leadership role for a seasoned engineer who wants influence — over design quality, technical standards, team development, and project success — while remaining engaged in technically challenging work.
The role offers a clearly defined career path and would be ideal for an existing Senior or Lead Electrical Engineer looking to step into an Associate-level position, or an established Associate seeking a pathway toward Principal-level leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the electrical engineering authority on major projects from concept through construction
- Serve as the lead electrical design professional during project team meetings and client engagements
- Ensure engineering standards, codes, and best practices are consistently applied across projects
- Support project pursuits, technical presentations, and high-level client discussions
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and technical oversight for less-experienced engineers and designers
- Stay current on industry trends, codes, emerging technologies, and mission-critical electrical design requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Strong expertise in electrical systems design, including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and critical infrastructure systems
- Experience leading electrical design efforts on large commercial, healthcare, federal, mission-critical, or datacenter projects preferred
- Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA, and applicable industry standards
