Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Mechanical Engineer, located in Monroe, NC. The Mechanical Engineer will work as a bridge between customers and production. The primary focus of this position is to translate customer orders to technical drawings, releasing documentation to production teams. Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Preparing job files for manufacturing use from customer orders, including parts detail drawings, fabrication lists, bills of material, packing slips, and other miscellaneous information.
  • Acts as a liaison between customer and SEECO on engineering matters regarding product application, installation, and services.
  • Provide customer service assistance on field installation issues, repairs, quality problems, or other customer problems.
  • Ensures products meet the organizations and customers’ quality and product integrity requirements.
  • Supports product development or operations team by providing analysis and expertise throughout the inspection process.
  • Identifies root causes of problems in the production process; recommends and/or implements corrective measures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to building high-quality products.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with five years' experience
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and DraftSight (or similar)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with customers, co-workers and manufacturing personnel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in the electrical utility industry is a plus
