The Opportunity

As our

Human Resources Generalist

, you'll help create an exceptional employee experience across RW Thrive and its subsidiaries. You'll support employees and leaders through every stage of the employee journey while leading key HR programs, including onboarding, benefits and leave administration, employee communications, engagement initiatives, compliance efforts, and HR systems. As a trusted partner and resource, you'll help cultivate a positive workplace culture and contribute to initiatives that support our people, strengthen our organization, and drive continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation, including HRIS setup, Form I-9 completion, employment documentation, benefits enrollment, and cross-functional onboarding activities
  • Manage employee lifecycle changes, including promotions, transfers, status changes, separations, offboarding activities, HRIS updates, organizational charts, personnel records, and required communications
  • Serve as a resource to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, attendance, performance documentation, and workplace concerns; resolve routine matters and support employee relations activities as needed
  • Administer employee leave programs, including FMLA and other applicable leaves, by coordinating documentation, required communications, tracking, return-to-work processes, and accommodation support
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, eligibility changes, employee inquiries, invoice reconciliation, and coordination with benefits providers and brokers
  • Coordinate workers' compensation and workplace injury administration, including claim reporting, documentation, employee communication, and insurer coordination
  • Support performance management processes by coordinating review timelines, communications, documentation, and follow-up activities
  • Provide recruiting support as needed, including candidate screening, interview scheduling, job postings, candidate communications, and hiring process coordination
  • Coordinate the review and maintenance of job descriptions in partnership with department leaders and HR team members
  • Maintain HR records and reporting, including safety, EEO, compliance, workforce reporting, and audit preparation activities
  • Manage internal HR communications and engagement channels, employee surveys, recognition programs, employee ownership activities, and other engagement events
  • Maintain knowledge of company policies, HR best practices, and applicable employment requirements while performing other duties and special projects as assigned

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent education and work experience
  • Three or more years of progressive human resources experience, preferably with responsibility across multiple HR functional areas
  • Experience providing direct support to employees and managers and independently administering assigned HR processes
  • Working knowledge of Human Resources principles and practices, including onboarding, employee relations, benefits, leave administration, HR systems, and compliance requirements
  • Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to effectively support employees and leaders while managing multiple priorities and maintaining accuracy
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and apply employment laws, policies, and HR technology to day-to-day responsibilities

Desired Qualifications

  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or related HR certification
  • Experience administering employee benefits and leave programs
  • Experience supporting recruiting activities and using applicant tracking systems
  • Experience working in a multi-state, multi-entity, or subsidiary-based organization

Work Location

  • RW Thrive is headquartered in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. This is a hybrid position with a minimum of one day per week onsite at the corporate office, with additional onsite presence as business needs require

Travel Requirements

  • Occasional travel (up to 10%) is required for conferences, training, or professional development
