Group Financial Controller

We have partnered with a market leading technology business based in Johannesburg South Africa, to appoint their new Group Financial Controller to support their continued growth and transformation.

Partnering with and reporting into the Group CFO, this person will be play a pivotal role in shaping the financial direction of the group and will provide leadership across all areas of financial reporting, governance, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting \& Consolidation

: Lead the preparation, accuracy, and timeliness of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements under IFRS. Oversee the Group Consolidation and ensure robust internal controls over financial reporting.

• Internal \& External Reporting

: Manage and enhance the quality of internal management reporting, delivering clear insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making. Oversee statutory and external reporting requirements, ensuring full compliance with regulatory, audit, and disclosure standards.

• Audit \& Compliance

: Act as the principal liaison with external auditors and internal audit functions. Ensure all audit deliverables are met, maintaining a strong control environment and driving continuous improvement of financial processes and governance.

• Tax, Treasury \& Risk Oversight

: Partner with the Head of Tax and Group CFO to ensure effective tax planning, compliance, and risk management.

• Leadership \& Team Development

: Inspire, coach, and develop a high-performing finance team spanning internal and external reporting, systems, tax, consolidation, and management information. Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional excellence.

Candidate Profile:

• Qualified Accountant
• Backgound within audit
• Exposure to international / multi-entity businesses
• Experienced Group Financial Controller / Group Finance Manager
