Senior Analytics Engineer

IDR is seeking a

Senior Analytics Engineer

to join an exciting, 100% remote, full-time engagement supporting an enterprise data platform and analytics data products for a large end client. This role will own end-to-end delivery of production-grade data models and transformations—building reliable, well-tested, well-documented datasets that power delivery performance insights and operational reporting.

Position Overview for the Senior Analytics Engineer (Databricks/dbt):

• Build and maintain enterprise analytics data products across the full data lifecycle (ingestion through deployment).
• Develop and manage data transformations using dbt and advanced SQL (ANSI SQL \+ Spark SQL).
• Design and maintain scalable data models (medallion architecture \+ star schema) aligned to business needs.
• Implement testing, documentation, and lineage (dbt tests \+ YAML) to support quality and change management.
• Use Databricks/Delta and Python to validate data, troubleshoot issues, and improve reliability/performance.

Requirements for the Senior Analytics Engineer:

• 7\+ years in data engineering/analytics engineering delivering production data models and pipelines.
• Advanced hands-on experience with Databricks plus strong Spark SQL capability.
• Advanced dbt experience (models, macros, tests, documentation/YAML, and lineage practices).
• Strong GitHub workflow experience (branching, PRs, code reviews) in a team delivery environment.
• Able to work independently in a fully remote role with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
