Job Description

Savills’ Project Management Group is a quality-driven consulting team serving clients across the corporate, educational, healthcare, hospitality, retail, institutional, and real estate development sectors. Our culture is built on meritocracy—where attitude and initiative are as valued as technical ability. We celebrate creative thinking, fresh perspectives, and collaboration, recognizing that innovation often comes from trying new approaches and learning from every outcome.

We are seeking an Associate Project Manager to join our New York City team. The ideal candidate supports all phases of project delivery, coordinating details, maintaining documentation, and ensuring that every aspect of a project is addressed and managed effectively. The ideal candidate is organized, resourceful, and eager to grow their technical and project management skills while contributing to a collaborative, client-focused team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support all phases of design and construction within active project environments.
  • Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and subcontractors involved in project execution.
  • Assist in developing, tracking, and updating the project schedule, budget, and cost documentation.
  • Monitor progress and coordinate construction schedules with internal and external teams.
  • Anticipate potential project challenges and assist in developing practical solutions.
  • Maintain accurate and organized project files, logs, and approval documentation.
  • Prepare status updates, reports, and ad hoc analyses as requested by project leadership or clients.
  • Support procurement activities, including reviewing bids and assisting with vendor coordination.
  • Communicate regularly with team members, consultants, and clients to ensure alignment of project goals and next steps.
  • Participate in site visits, taking notes, photos, and ensuring documentation is complete and distributed.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by following team standards and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience supporting design and construction projects.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with Smartsheet or other project management tools is a plus.
  • Collaborative and proactive approach with a willingness to learn and take on increasing responsibility.

Work Location and Travel

This position is based in New York City with an expectation of being in the office four days per week (Monday–Thursday). Friday may be worked remotely, unless project travel is required. The role supports clients across the U.S., and travel outside of New York City may be necessary for site visits and client meetings.
