Carpenter

Job purpose:

• Perform carpentry, polishing, repair, and maintenance work throughout the resort.

• Promote Jayasom’s wellness and sustainability culture by leading through example.

Key operational responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled carpentry, polishing, repair, and maintenance work across guest rooms and resort areas.

• Maintain all carpentry equipment, woodwork, and hardware in excellent working condition.

• Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and condition monitoring using approved checklists.

• Follow health, safety, fire, and hazardous material procedures at all times.

• Use tools, equipment, and protective gear safely and responsibly.

• Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests and guest complaints.

• Maintain cleanliness and safety of work areas during and after maintenance activities.

• Support emergency situations and follow the resort crisis and fire safety procedures when required.

• Keep accurate maintenance records and communicate operational issues effectively between shifts.

Job requirements:

• Certification from a Technical Institute or equivalent qualification (preferred).

• Proven experience in maintenance or engineering within a hotel or resort environment, preferably with pre-opening exposure.

• Experience working with multicultural teams.

• Strong knowledge of carpentry, polishing, repair, maintenance, mechanics, electronics, and pumping systems.

• Understanding of safety and security procedures.

• Good planning, organization, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

• Creative, reliable, flexible, and professional attitude with strong work ethics and integrity.
