Mechanical Design Engineer

(ME Mechanical Design \& Validation Engineer)

Responsibilities

• Support

Sustaining

engineering activities, incl.

Tracking, Collecting

, and

Organizing sustaining issues,

and

Coordinating

w/ the Mechanical design owner to drive resolution.

• Manage

ECOs

by collecting uncompleted ECO tickets, and providing

Weekly status updates

to the team.

• •Assist w/

PO processes

and

Documentation

required for engineering activities.

• •Execute detailed

Mechanical design

tasks by

Implementing Features

based on architecture or concept designs provided by the Mechanical architect or design owner.

• Support

Design Documentation

and

Data management

, incl.

BOM updates

,

Drawing releases

, and

Revision tracking

.

• Track Design tasks and Engineering issues using internal tools.

Min. Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Min.

3\+ years

of hands-on

Mechanical design

exp. in

Hardware

(HW) or product development.

• Exp. w/

Creo CAD tool.

• Familiarity w/

Mechanical drawings, GD\&T

, and

Tolerance stack-up.

• Basic understanding of

Manufacturing processes

such as

Sheet metal, Machining, Casting,

and

Plastic injection molding.

• Exp. supporting Engineering change management (

ECO/ECN

) processes.

• Strong organizational skills w/ the ability to

Track multiple engineering tasks

and

issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Mechanical lab management

exp.

• Good

communication

skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Other qualifications

• Bilingual

capability is required (Mandarin \& English).

Mandarin

speaking/reading is essential skill in

HCLTech

Taiwan.

• Soft Skills: Good listener, positive attitude, sense of humor, open minded, respect, patience, resolving issues, delegation, etc.
• Demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, strategies and methods
• Excellent time management \& organizational skills, and exp. establishing guidelines in these areas for others
