Job Summary
A Carpenter performs structural and rough carpentry tasks on various projects, collaborating with other trades and superintendents to support timely project completion while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
Essential Functions

- Mentor laborers, providing explanations for understanding, teaching basic skills on-the-job, and providing coaching and feedback as needed.
- Provide direction and assistance to subcontractors, as needed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly job site by completing housekeeping duties where doing work and ensuring materials are organized.
- Assist with punch list items, including small repairs or adjustments required for project completion.
- Complete carpentry duties, to include cutting/placing backing, corner guards, patching flooring, erecting scaffolding and shoring, installing partitions, installing doors/frames/hardware, installing toilet accessories, installing safety systems, building concrete frames, pouring and screening concrete, drywall installation, finishing, painting, and other miscellaneous wood framing.
- Look out for safety issues and ensure subcontractors are following proper procedures and site rules.
- Participate in demolition activities as needed, following all safety protocols.
- Support stormwater operations and related environmental compliance activities.
- Assist Superintendents with general tasks and responsibilities as required.
- Assist with project layout, as needed.
Work Environment
This job operates in a construction work site environment with others. This role routinely works outside in varying weather conditions and uses personal protection equipment.
Expected Hours of Work/Travel
Ability to travel or accept full-time assignments to any location where Bryan Construction conducts business. Ability to travel to multiple locations or job sites daily or weekly as needed. Work may require occasional weekend and evening work.
Required Education And Experience
- Experience operating hand tools (hammer drill, impact, grinder, skill saw, etc.)
- Previous construction experience
- Forklift and scissor-lift certified or ability to obtain
Preferred Education And Experience
- OSHA 30 completion or knowledge of construction safety practices
- Experience working with concrete
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience using construction management software
- Experience using Microsoft Outlook
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience working with ADA requirements
- Experience operating boomlift, skidster
- Rigging certification
- Drug Screening and Background Investigation required**
Salary Range: $27-$36/hour
