Job Description

Job description:

We’re looking for a skilled Carpenter / Handyman Specialist with multi-year experience across rough carpentry, finish carpentry, and general home repair to join KnA. This isn’t a basic crew role—you’ll be a core part of our operation, contributing from start to finish on projects and bringing problem-solving, craftsmanship, and leadership to every job site.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform high-quality rough framing, finish carpentry, and custom woodwork (framing, kitchen installs, door/window installation, trim, built-ins, etc.).
  • Handle a range of handyman tasks and small repairs to support project flow and client needs.
  • Read and interpret project plans, measurements, and specifications.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site at all times.
  • Provide daily status updates and loop in Kent when needed.
  • Collaborate closely with the project team to meet deadlines and uphold KnA quality standards.
  • Step into a working-manager role when required, setting the tone for professionalism, efficiency, and craftsmanship.

What We’re Looking For

  • Several years of professional carpentry experience (rough \+ finish), plus comfort with general home repairs.
  • Strong craftsmanship, precision, and pride in your work.
  • Ability to work independently and within a small, fast-moving team.
  • Solid problem-solving skills and willingness to take initiative.
  • Alignment with the

KnA Way

—efficiency, relationship-driven cost control, and consistently bringing more assets than liabilities to the team.

  • Willingness to wear KnA apparel when interacting with clients.

Expectations

  • Full-time commitment (M–F, \~40 hours/week) dedicated exclusively to KnA.
  • Professionalism, reliability, and a growth mindset to help elevate the business.
  • Consistent adherence to safety standards and company values.

Benefits

  • Paid bi-weekly via ACH deposit (salary TBD).
  • PTO: 7 days (sick, personal, vacation); increases to 14 days after your first year.
  • Company phone provided.
  • Access to company vehicles as needed.
  • No group health plan currently; may be considered after the first year.
