Role Description

The Carpenter/Laborer role is a full-time, on-site position located in West Fargo, ND. This role involves performing general carpentry tasks such as framing, installing doors, windows, and trim, and assisting with finish carpentry work. Day-to-day responsibilities include measuring and cutting materials, operating hand and power tools, loading and unloading materials, site cleanup, and supporting other crew members as needed. The Carpenter/Laborer will follow project plans, adhere to safety procedures, and help ensure that work is completed on schedule and to quality standards. The role requires working in varying weather conditions and being able to perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workday.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated carpentry skills, including basic construction, installation, and repair work.
  • Experience with framing tasks such as building walls, floors, and roof structures.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools (e.g., hammers, tape measures, chisels, levels) for daily tasks.
  • Proficiency with power tools (e.g., saws, drills, nail guns) and adherence to safety guidelines.
  • Exposure to or experience in finish carpentry, including trim, molding, and detail work.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and commitment to job-site safety.
  • Reliable transportation to the West Fargo, ND job site and willingness to work full-time hours.
  • Ability to lift and carry materials, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work cooperatively with supervisors and crew members.
  • Prior construction or remodeling experience of 2 years preferred; relevant vocational training is a plus.
