Description Of Project \& Tasks

We are seeking a highly skilled and self-driven QA Test Engineer to lead and execute end-to-end test cycles across three enterprise-grade platforms: QualCheckers, OfficeGaps, and iMRO. This role sits at the intersection of software quality assurance, aviation maintenance operations, and enterprise digital transformation.

The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on testing expertise within Agile/Scrum environments, strong familiarity with ERP and CRM ecosystems, and a practical understanding of airline MRO operations. This is a remote, outcome-based engagement requiring strong self-management, proactive communication, and weekly reporting discipline.

• This is a fully remote, self-managed engagement. No fixed daily check-in is required; however, the candidate must demonstrate consistent output and proactive communication.
• Weekly written status reports are mandatory and must be submitted every Friday (or as agreed with the project manager). Reports must cover: test execution progress, defect status, blockers, risks, and planned activities for the following week.
• The candidate is expected to manage their own workload across three platforms simultaneously, prioritizing based on Sprint deadlines and project milestones.
• Availability for Sprint ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives) is required during agreed business hours.
• All deliverables must meet defined acceptance criteria before submission. The candidate is accountable for the quality and completeness of their own test outputs.

Key Responsibilities

Test Planning \& Execution

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for QualCheckers, OfficeGaps, and iMRO platforms
• Lead functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT) across all assigned platforms
• Participate in Sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives as an active Agile team member
• Execute test cycles within defined Sprint timelines and Agile release schedules
• Perform end-to-end testing of system integrations, API connections, and data flows across platforms

Defect Management

• Log, track, and manage defects through the full defect lifecycle using industry-standard tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, or equivalent)
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to triage, prioritize, and resolve defects
• Conduct root cause analysis on recurring or critical defects and recommend preventive measures
• Verify defect fixes and perform regression testing to ensure no new issues are introduced

Reporting \& Documentation

• Prepare and submit comprehensive weekly QA status reports covering test execution progress, defect metrics, coverage, and risk assessment
• Maintain detailed test documentation including test plans, test cases, test results, and QA sign-off reports
• Produce release readiness reports and go/no-go recommendations for each Sprint deployment
• Track and report key QA metrics: test coverage, pass/fail rates, defect density, and escape rate

Collaboration \& Process Improvement

• Work independently with minimal supervision, managing own workload and priorities across multiple concurrent platforms
• Liaise with cross-functional stakeholders including developers, business analysts, project managers, and domain SMEs
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies
• Support go-to-market testing initiatives including system analysis and integration validation activities

Required Qualifications

SDLC \& Agile Methodology

• Minimum 4 years of hands-on software testing experience within structured SDLC environments
• Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum teams with direct participation in Sprint ceremonies
• Proficiency in test case design, execution, and management within Sprint-based delivery cycles
• Strong understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle from requirements through production release

Technology Stack

• MS .NET — testing of backend services, APIs, and business logic built on the .NET framework
• Angular and React — front-end functional and UI/UX testing of single-page applications
• MS SQL Server — ability to write and execute SQL queries for data validation and backend verification
• SaaS platforms — experience testing cloud-delivered software across multiple tenants and environments
• Cloud Services (AWS, Azure, or GCP) — testing of cloud-hosted applications, services, and integrations

ERP \& CRM Platform Knowledge

• Practical working knowledge of at least one industry-standard ERP platform (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent)
• Familiarity with CRM platforms (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, or equivalent) and their data/integration patterns
• Ability to test end-to-end business processes that span ERP and CRM system boundaries

Self-Management \& Reporting

• Demonstrated ability to manage self-paced workloads across multiple parallel testing tracks without daily oversight
• Committed to weekly written status report submissions covering progress, risks, blockers, and metrics
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for remote, asynchronous stakeholder engagement

Preferred Qualifications

Airline MRO Domain Expertise

Subject matter expertise in aviation Maintenance, Repair \& Overhaul (MRO) operations, including familiarity with work order systems, parts management, airworthiness compliance (FAA/EASA), and regulatory reporting. Experience testing MRO software platforms is highly desirable.

Quality Assurance Domain Knowledge

Deep understanding of QA management principles, audit processes, non-conformance tracking, quality check workflows, and compliance documentation within regulated industries.

Managerial \& Organizational Behavior

Knowledge of organizational behavior frameworks, change management principles, and the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders, project sponsors, and cross-functional teams during testing and UAT phases

Software Modernization \& IT Transformation

Experience testing applications undergoing modernization (legacy-to-cloud migration, monolith-to- microservices, or platform re-platforming) and familiarity with IT transformation project structures and governance.

Outcome-based Project Management

Familiarity with outcome-based delivery frameworks where quality metrics, test results, and release decisions are tied directly to business outcomes rather than activity milestones.

System Analysis \& Integration Testing

Experience performing system analysis activities (requirements review, gap analysis, integration mapping) and leading system integration testing (SIT) under go-to-market initiatives. This is a significant career growth differentiator for this role.
