is seeking a talented

Project Manager

to join our client, a well-established commercial general contractor who recently opened their new Calgary office! This is an opportunity to join a highly respected construction team with an established national client base and play a key role in building local operations and help lead their expansion into the Alberta market from the ground up.

This position is ideal for an

entrepreneurial and relationship-driven Project Manager

who enjoys taking ownership of projects, building strong client relationships, and contributing to long-term business growth. You will work closely with leadership while helping establish the company’s presence in Calgary across commercial interiors and new construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and financial reporting
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Oversee project documentation including contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, meeting minutes, and reporting
  • Partner closely with Site Superintendents to ensure successful project delivery
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, invoicing, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle
  • Coordinate and mentor Project Coordinators and other internal project staff
  • Participate in networking and relationship-building activities within the Calgary construction market
  • Support continued growth of the company’s Alberta operations and client relationships
  • Travel periodically to project sites throughout Alberta as required

Qualifications

  • 5–10\+ years of commercial construction experience in a Project Manager capacity
  • Proven experience independently managing commercial construction projects
  • Experience with tenant improvement and/or new construction projects
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, budgeting, scheduling, and project delivery
  • Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore and Microsoft Office platforms
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to manage project reporting and forecasting
  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working in a growing office environment
  • Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline is considered an asset
