Job Description

White \& Warren is seeking a Senior Buyer to lead the buying strategy for our ecommerce channel at an exciting stage of growth. This role owns the DTC buy from seasonal planning through in-season performance management and will play a meaningful role in shaping the next chapter of the business.

Reporting to the VP, Omni-Channel Planning, the Senior Buyer will translate brand vision and financial objectives into clear, disciplined investment decisions. We are looking for a commercially minded, entrepreneurial leader who takes initiative, thinks proactively, and is energized by the opportunity to build and scale a high-performing DTC business.

Key Responsibilities

Seasonal Buying \& Investment Strategy

  • Build and execute the seasonal DTC buy across all categories
  • Determine style count, color depth, and unit allocation based on performance and growth objectives
  • Evaluate carryover productivity and manage newness strategically
  • Partner with Planning to align investments with sales, margin, and inventory targets
  • Present clear investment recommendations grounded in financial impact

In-Season Performance Management

  • Own DTC performance across revenue, margin, sell-through, and returns
  • Translate weekly performance into actionable adjustments at the style and category level
  • Manage replenishment, receipt flow, markdown strategy, and risk mitigation
  • Adjust depth and timing to protect margin and maximize full-price sell-through

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Represent DTC priorities in product and assortment discussions
  • Provide commercial perspective early in the product lifecycle
  • Deliver clear, data-informed updates and forward-looking strategies

Qualifications

  • 5–7\+ years of apparel buying experience with direct ecommerce ownership
  • Experience in contemporary or premium brands preferred
  • Strong financial acumen and comfort operating within OTB frameworks
  • Advanced Excel skills with experience analyzing performance at the unit level
  • Proven ability to partner across Planning, Merchandising, Marketing, and Production

Anticipated Base Salary Range: $115,000 - $145,000 Annually
