Role Description

We're hiring our first CTO to lead the technology and product vision of The Deep View. This is a rare chance to build the tech foundation of a media company that's growing fast and has a real shot at redefining what AI journalism looks like. You'll own our platform, our data, and the products we build on top of our audience.

What You'll Do

• Set the technology and product strategy, and build the roadmap to get there

• Architect and scale our publishing, subscriber, and analytics infrastructure

• Lead product development for new reader-facing experiences

• Build and lead the engineering and product team from the ground up

• Own the data stack

• Partner with editorial, sales, and marketing to turn tech into a real competitive advantage

• Evaluate and integrate the AI tools and models that make us faster and sharper

What We're Looking For

• 6\+ years of engineering experience, ideal if at startups

• You've built and scaled consumer or prosumer products and the teams behind them

• Hands-on enough to still read code and weigh in on architecture, strategic enough to run a team

• Deep familiarity with the modern AI stack (LLMs, RAG, agents) and opinions on how to apply it
