Position Summary

We are seeking a results-driven National Account Manager to lead and grow our business across various departments with key mass retail partners, specifically Walmart or Target. This role is responsible for developing strategic account plans, managing day-to-day relationships, and driving revenue, profitability, and brand presence across these critical accounts. This is a high-impact opportunity to drive growth and make a meaningful contribution to a scaling company.

Responsibilities

Account Management \& Relationship Building

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Walmart or Target business (depending on candidate's experience), building and maintaining strong relationships at various levels within the organization.
  • Categories include but are not limited to Toy \& Games, Sporting Goods, Front End/Impulse, Seasonal, Home, Pain Relief, FemCare, Pet.
  • Pursue new business opportunities within the channel.

Strategic Planning \& Execution

  • Develop and execute annual account plans, including sales forecasts, promotional strategies, and assortment planning.
  • Ensure flawless execution of product launches and in-store/online merchandising initiatives and features.
  • Monitor competitive activity and recommend adjustments to maintain market share.
  • Maintain annual business plans outlining key initiatives, promotional calendars, and sales objectives.

Revenue Growth \& Negotiations

  • Drive revenue growth while maintaining margin targets and optimizing trade spend.
  • Lead negotiations with accounts on pricing, terms, and promotions.

Forecasting \& Analytics

  • Work closely with the demand planning team to provide accurate sales forecasts while utilizing ladder plans.
  • Analyze POS data, inventory levels, and market trends to inform strategy and identify opportunities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, brand, supply chain, product development, and finance teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA a plus).
  • 5\+ years of experience in sales or account management within consumer goods.
  • Proven success managing Walmart and/or Target accounts at a national level
  • Club experience a plus
  • Strong understanding of mass retail dynamics, including merchandising, replenishment, and promotional cycles
  • Experience with retail analytics tools (e.g., Retail Link, Target Partners Online)
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
  • Highly analytical with strong business acumen
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

The Legal bits

The salary range for this role is $120,000\.00- $145,000\.00 annually, plus eligible for an annual target bonus prorated from the start date. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s pay position within the wage range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. This compensation range may also be modified in the future.
