Job Description

AEM Developer

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver Web experiences on AEM.
  • Collaborate with Management, analysts, designers, and clients to identify end-user requirements and specifications.
  • Develop complex components and templates in AEM with Touch UI using Sightly/HTL and modern front-end frameworks including Angular, React.js, Granite, and Coral UI Foundation Framework.
  • Participate in code reviews of ongoing projects and ensure code quality is at the highest level possible including using the appropriate design patterns.
  • Produce efficient and elegant code based on the requirements.
  • Test and deploy programs and applications.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, maintain, and improve existing software.
  • Assess user feedback to improve application performance.
  • Iterate over solutions in response to client feedback.
  • Contribute technical documentation to guide future development projects.
  • Participate in peer reviews and assess peer pull requests.
  • Learn new technology practices to improve support for existing and future projects.

Requirements

  • 2\+ years of experience:

+ Implementing AEM solution features, including templates and components, and configuring the Web console;

+ Working with enterprise content management systems;

+ Developing Web-based applications.

  • Proven experience as an Application Developer.
  • Familiarity with architectural styles and design patterns.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to:

+ Work effectively on multiple tasks against shifting priorities;

+ Rapidly absorb complex technical and/or conceptual information;

+ Anticipate issues and provide solutions for complex problems.

  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated competency with the following:

+ Key Adobe CQ/AEM APIs and functionality (Sites, Apps, Assets, Forms, Commerce, etc.);

+ Web technologies (CSS, HTML, JavaScript);

+ Use of component architecture and atomic design principles;

+ Mobile-first development and responsive design, following SEO and Accessibility Best Practices.

  • Experience with the following:

+ CSS preprocessors including Sass, SCSS, Less;

+ Adobe Experience Cloud, Analytics, Mobile Services, and LiveCycle;

+ Integrating applications with Web services including RESTful Web services;

+ Web architecture concepts (RESTful APIs, client-side data binding);

+ Working with Git (GitFlow is a plus);

+ Working with front-end build tools including Webpack;

+ Working with testing frameworks including Mocha or Jest;

+ Understanding and implementing automated testing and pre-commit checks including linting and style checking;

+ Working with the most up-to-date versions of front-end technologies.

  • Working knowledge of the following:

+ Marketing, communications, advertising, or related field;

+ Build \& Deployment Automation using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.;

+ Web performance optimization (RAIL or PRPL);

+ Java Server-side programming.

  • Experience working within a professional services firm, consulting firm, or agency.

This is a 12-month Contract with our Kansas City, MO client.
