PeopleSoft/SQL Developer
6-month Contract-to-Hire
Location:
Remote (EST/CST preferred)
Pay:
$65-70/hr (
compensation can vary depending on experience)
Most Important Responsibilities:
- Analyze business and technical requirements to develop detailed system specifications and designs.
- Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL Server solutions, including stored procedures, queries, and automation processes.
- Build and support data integrations, ETL processes, and scheduled jobs.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize reporting solutions using SSRS or similar tools.
- Perform unit testing, support system testing, and participate in implementation activities.
- Provide production support, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and participation in on-call rotations.
- Monitor and optimize database performance through indexing strategies, execution plan analysis, and query tuning.
- Maintain database security configurations including roles, permissions, and access controls.
- Create and maintain clear technical documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and automation capabilities.
What you can bring to the table to impact this role, team, and organization:
- 5\+ years of SQL development and database-centric application support.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, including:
- Stored procedures, T-SQL, and complex query development
- SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- SQL Server Agent job creation and management
- Experience with financial reconciliation platforms (Accurate)
- Strong background in database performance tuning, indexing, and execution plan analysis.
- Experience in SSRS or similar reporting tools.
- Experience with financial ERP systems.
- PeopleSoft Financials or similar enterprise systems.
- Experience with additional programming or scripting languages such as .NET, Java, Python, or PowerShell.
- Insurance or financial services background preferred.
