Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Test Case Preparation
  • Build detailed test cases from user stories, BRDs, PRDs, Figma screens, and functional specifications.
  • Ensure test cases cover positive, negative, edge-case, and regression scenarios.
  • Prepare end-to-end test scripts for agency workflows.
  • Define clear expected results for each test scenario.
  • Maintain and update test case repositories using JIRA, Excel, TestRail, Zephyr, or similar tools.
  • Functional Testing

Perform Testing Across Digital Agency Platform Workflows, Including

  • Deal setup and facility configuration
  • Borrower, lender, agent, and participant setup
  • Drawdown booking and utilisation tracking
  • Rollover, repayment, prepayment, and cancellation workflows
  • Interest rate setup and rate reset events
  • Fee setup, accrual, billing, and payment processes
  • Agency fees, commitment fees, utilisation fees, and other fee types
  • Notice generation, approval, and distribution
  • Covenant and obligation tracking
  • Secondary transfer and position movement workflows
  • Accounting entries, cash movements, and reconciliation validation
  • Calculation Validation

Validate Business And Financial Calculations Including

  • Interest accrual calculations
  • RFR calculations (daily simple, compounded, and term RFR)
  • Fixed and floating interest rate structures
  • Margin floors and base rate floors
  • PIK and capitalisation of interest
  • Default interest and penalty calculations
  • Commitment and utilisation fee calculations
  • Day-count conventions (ACT/360, ACT/365, 30/360)
  • Multi-currency and FX-related scenarios
  • Break costs, prepayments, and repayment schedules
  • Compare system-generated outputs against manual calculations or approved calculation templates
  • Defect Management
  • Log defects with clear reproduction steps, screenshots, expected vs actual results
  • Classify defects by severity and priority
  • Collaborate with developers, Business Analysts, and Product teams to resolve issues
  • Retest fixes and verify issue resolution
  • Track defects through closure before release or client handover
  • Regression \& Release Testing
  • Execute regression testing before releases
  • Maintain regression test suites for critical workflows
  • Validate that new changes do not impact existing functionalities
  • Support smoke testing, sanity testing, and release readiness checks
  • Provide QA sign-off and risk-based release recommendations
  • UAT \& Client Demo Support
  • Prepare UAT test packs for client validation
  • Validate workflows before client demonstrations
  • Identify functional gaps and usability issues before external release
  • Prepare QA summary reports covering test coverage, defects, risks, and open issues
  • Ensure client feedback is translated into testable requirements alongside Product and BA teams

Required Skills \& Experience

  • 5\+ years of QA experience, preferably in financial services, lending, banking, fintech, or enterprise SaaS
  • Strong expertise in functional testing, regression testing, defect lifecycle management, and UAT support
  • Ability to create detailed test cases from business requirements and user stories
  • Experience testing workflow-intensive platforms
  • Strong analytical skills with focus on calculation validation
  • Experience with JIRA or similar issue tracking tools
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Product, Engineering, BA, and QA teams
  • Strong written communication for defect reporting and QA documentation

Preferred Domain Knowledge

Experience or familiarity with:

  • Syndicated loans
  • Loan agency operations
  • Loan IQ, ACBS, or similar loan servicing platforms
  • Drawdowns, repayments, rollovers, and interest cycles
  • RFR / SOFR / SONIA / EURIBOR calculations
  • Fee accruals and billing processes
  • Notices and loan lifecycle events
  • Banking operations, middle office, or loan administration workflows

Preferred Tools Experience

  • JIRA
  • Confluence
  • Excel
  • Figma
  • TestRail / Zephyr / Xray or similar QA tools
  • Postman (basic API testing)
  • SQL (basic data validation)
  • Browser Developer Tools for frontend issue investigation
