Sage ERP Business Analyst
We are seeking an experienced ERP Business Analyst with strong Sage expertise to support and optimize ERP systems within a manufacturing or distribution environment. This role will act as the key link between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring ERP solutions effectively support operational and financial objectives.
The successful candidate will partner closely with finance, operations, and IT to gather requirements, analyze workflows, and deliver scalable system improvements. You will support core Sage modules including accounting, manufacturing, inventory, and BOM, while driving process standardization and improving reporting capabilities (e.g., Crystal Reports, Power BI, or Sage Intelligence).
This role requires someone who can translate business needs into system solutions-identifying inefficiencies, recommending improvements, and supporting ERP enhancements, integrations, and ongoing optimization initiatives.
Experience working in industries such as manufacturing, oil \& gas, or regulated environments is highly beneficial, where accuracy, reporting, and process control are critical.
Key Responsibilities \& Skills
- System Optimization:
Enhance Sage ERP functionality, manage system upgrades, and support integrations with peripheral systems such as CRM, WMS, EDI, and TMS
- Process Improvement:
Analyze business requirements and streamline workflows across finance, manufacturing, and supply chain operations
- Technical Expertise:
Strong working knowledge of Sage modules (Accounting, Inventory, Bill of Materials) with proficiency in SQL, Crystal Reports, and/or Business Intelligence tools
- Project Management:
Lead ERP implementations and enhancements, develop documentation, and deliver end-user training
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Manufacturing, or related field
- Hands-on Sage 100 experience across key modules (Accounting, Manufacturing, BOM, Inventory, Work Tickets, Financials)
- Exposure to Sage add-ons such as Doculink and AlphaDoc
- Working knowledge of SQL, database structures, and reporting
- Experience with Power BI, Power Query, and/or Crystal Reports preferred
- Strong project management experience delivering small to mid-sized projects
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capability
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
- Effective communicator with a collaborative approach
