Job Description
We’re looking for a Procurement Contracts Specialist who’s just as comfortable in the details of a contract as they are running sourcing activities. This role leans heavily on the commercial and contracts side of procurement, so we’re looking for someone who enjoys negotiating terms, managing risk, and working closely with stakeholders to get deals across the line.
You’ll support both bid and project delivery phases, helping shape contract strategy, negotiate with suppliers, and make sure agreements are structured in a way that protects the business while still moving things forward. It’s a mix of hands-on execution and strategic input, especially when it comes to contracts and supplier relationships.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading contract negotiations with suppliers, making sure commercial terms, risk, and obligations are clearly defined and aligned to project needs
- Supporting procurement activities during both bidding and execution, with a strong focus on contract structure and compliance
- Identifying potential commercial and contractual risks early, and working with internal teams to put mitigation strategies in place
- Partnering with legal, engineering, finance, and project teams to ensure contracts reflect business requirements and flow-down terms
- Managing supplier agreements throughout the lifecycle, including handling changes, variations, and any commercial issues that come up
- Supporting and helping maintain contract templates, ensuring they stay up to date with company policies and project requirements
- Running RFQ/RFP processes as needed, but with a strong focus on how contracts are structured and awarded
- Contributing to overall procurement strategy, especially as it relates to contracts and supplier engagement
What they’re looking for:
- Strong experience in procurement with a clear focus on contracts and commercial negotiations
- Comfortable working through contract terms, risk, and supplier agreements in a complex environment
- Experience supporting large projects, ideally in manufacturing, infrastructure, or a similarly structured industry
- Ability to work cross-functionally and push deals forward while balancing risk and business needs
- Someone who can operate independently, take ownership of contracts, and influence stakeholders
