About the Role

Shields Health is seeking a

Lead Technical Business Analyst (TBA)

to serve as a hands‑on subject matter expert and people leader, supporting multiple high‑impact initiatives across the organization. This role is designed to help scale and lighten the workload of an existing senior leader, while driving clarity, execution, and modernization across data‑driven workflows. The ideal candidate is a senior‑level or previous lead who thrives in ambiguity, takes strong ownership, and enjoys partnering closely with both technical and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a hands‑on SME and people lead, supporting and mentoring team members as needed
• Partner closely with business and technical stakeholders to gather, document, and translate requirements into actionable deliverables
• Support and drive multiple concurrent initiatives, balancing priorities and deadlines
• Perform data forecasting, execute and coordinate testing efforts, and drive work across reporting and analytics
• Navigate ambiguity with confidence, using critical thinking and sound judgment to move work forward
• Serve as a key liaison between engineers, business partners, and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and momentum
• Proactively follow up on deliverables with a strong sense of urgency, without needing prompting
• Identify opportunities to improve and modernize existing processes and workflows
• Operate effectively within an Agile environment, collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams
• Contribute to and support QA and testing efforts to ensure data accuracy and system reliability

Required Skills \& Experience

• Previous Technical Business Analyst, with prior lead or ownership responsibilities
• Strong SQL skills, with a solid understanding of how operational databases function
• Python experience preferred
• Proven ability to make hands‑on improvements within existing systems and processes
• Experience modernizing workflows or driving operational efficiencies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non‑technical audiences
• Experience working in an Agile delivery environment
• QA or testing experience
• Prior experience in pharma, healthcare, or life sciences strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and critical thinking in complex environments

Compensation

$120,000 to $125,000 per year annual salary

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
