The Role
The primary focus of the Manager, Off-Premise Chains will be developing Total Beverage Solution’s business within assigned retailers while working closely with our wholesaler partners, national Chain Directors, Field Sales teams, and Market Managers. A successful candidate will gain new product placements/distribution, maintain and expand existing relationships and maximize program execution within retailers for TBS’ beer, wine, and spirits brands.
Key responsibilities:
Goal Setting/Review
- Own \& execute the growth strategy for assigned Off-Premise Chain Accounts, delivering against KPIs, revenue targets, forecasts, \& overall sales goals
- Aggressively pursues new points of distribution and programming features into chain accounts during new item cycles/seasonal/pre-sell periods
- Develop, deploy and track the execution of national/regional programs with Market Manager counterparts
- Reviews program effectiveness and makes post-program recommendations that drive strategic value for the retailer
Budgets
- Manage and impactfully use assigned trade budget
Pricing
- Creates recommended pricing with Market Manager counterparts
- Reviews and audits existing pricing strategies and makes recommendations to enhance future chain pricing strategy
Communication
- Communicate Chain Accounts priorities to all relevant internal commercial teams, including Market Managers, Marketing, and Operations team.
- Conduct market audits to inspect pricing accuracy, program execution, and competitive retail landscape. Report back results or actions to key stakeholders.
- Create, and present fact-based sales presentations to sell products and services to customers and provide insights to key stakeholders
Relationships
- Effectively manage buying relationships to become a preferred supplier partner with all assigned accounts
- Works with internal and external stakeholders to develop programs, sales plans, and promotion calendar based on category, customer, and consumer insights
- Develops and maintains strong, positive relationships with distributor chain sales teams
- Collaborates on promotional strategies with National Chain Directors and Marketing team
- Maintain visibility in retail trade, including relationships with regional, divisional, and store-level management
- Lead key National Accounts meetings and business reviews
Requirements
To be seriously considered for this role, please have the following:
- Understands on and off-premise retailer environment and the three-tier system
- Demonstrates ability to develop/maintain effective working relationships and influence with distributors and key accounts
- Capable of digesting and delivering fact-based brand presentations in a persuasive manner to customers during key periods: new item cycle, seasonal, and pre-sell for wine/beer/spirits portfolio
- Able to manage multiple priorities and brands across wine, beer, and spirits portfolio
- Demonstrates strong numerical and analytical acumen to identify patterns, issues, and opportunities within off-premise accounts
- Communicates effectively, including verbally, in writing, and through presentations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Able and willing to travel and maintain a valid driver's license
- At least 5 years in beverage alcohol sales with comparable goals and responsibilities, and existing experience working with chain retailer at a regional level.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.

Salary Range is $90,000 - $110,000\. Starting pay will be based on several factors including but not limited to experience, training, education, geographic location.
