Brexus Solutions is conducting a confidential executive search for the next
Chief Executive Officer
of the
Royal Palm Coast REALTOR® Association and Florida Gulf Coast MLS
.
This is an an opportunity to lead a complex, member-driven organization and technology-focused MLS during one of the most consequential periods in the real estate industry.
The CEO will work in close partnership with the Board of Directors to establish strategic direction, strengthen organizational performance, enhance member value, and ensure the Association and MLS remain innovative, financially sound, and positioned for long-term growth. The successful candidate will be a decisive, people-focused executive who understands governance, builds strong teams, communicates with confidence, and can turn strategy into measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership and Governance
- Partner with the Board of Directors to develop and execute the organization’s mission, vision, strategic priorities, and long-term goals.
- Provide informed, objective guidance to volunteer leaders while maintaining clear distinctions between governance and operations.
- Translate board-approved strategies and policies into actionable initiatives, measurable outcomes, and organizational accountability.
- Keep leadership informed of emerging trends, risks, opportunities, and regulatory developments affecting organized real estate and the MLS industry.
- Organizational and Team Leadership
- Recruit, develop, inspire, and retain a high-performing professional staff.
- Establish clear expectations, performance standards, and accountability across all departments.
- Build a collaborative, inclusive, and service-focused workplace culture.
- Strengthen internal communication, leadership development, succession planning, and operational effectiveness.
MLS, Technology, and Innovation
- Provide executive oversight of Florida Gulf Coast MLS, including technology, data services, compliance, vendor relationships, subscriber support, and future growth.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, data strategies, and industry partnerships that improve service and organizational performance.
- Ensure MLS policies, systems, and services remain responsive to the evolving needs of brokers, agents, consumers, and industry partners.
- Lead modernization initiatives while maintaining operational stability, data integrity, and exceptional customer service.
- Financial and Operational Management
- Develop and manage the annual budget in alignment with strategic priorities.
- Ensure appropriate financial controls, reporting practices, reserve planning, and resource allocation.
- Oversee daily operations, facilities, contracts, insurance, technology, human resources, and risk management.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, diversify revenue, and strengthen the organization’s long-term financial position.
Member Value and Industry Engagement
- Strengthen programs, services, education, communications, and advocacy efforts that deliver measurable value to members and MLS subscribers.
- Maintain productive relationships with brokers, members, volunteers, community leaders, government officials, strategic partners, and industry organizations.
- Serve as a visible and credible representative of the Association and MLS at the local, state, and national levels.
- Anticipate changing member expectations and position the organization to respond with relevance, speed, and professionalism.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, bylaws, policies, contracts, MLS rules, and industry standards.
- Maintain the highest levels of ethics, transparency, confidentiality, and fiduciary responsibility.
- Work with legal counsel, auditors, consultants, and regulatory partners as appropriate.
- Protect the organization’s reputation, assets, data, and long-term interests.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will bring:
- Significant executive or senior leadership experience within a REALTOR® association, MLS, trade association, nonprofit organization, brokerage, technology company, or similarly complex organization.
- A demonstrated record of developing strategy and converting it into measurable organizational results.
- Strong knowledge of governance, board relations, policy implementation, and volunteer leadership.
- Proven experience leading teams, managing change, and building a culture of accountability and collaboration.
- Financial expertise, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, reserve planning, and resource management.
- Strong communication, negotiation, relationship-building, and public presentation skills.
- The ability to navigate competing priorities, complex stakeholder dynamics, and rapidly changing industry conditions.
- Experience with MLS operations, real estate technology, data management, artificial intelligence, or digital transformation is highly desirable.
- A bachelor’s degree in business, management, public administration, communications, real estate, or a related field. An advanced degree or relevant professional designation is preferred.
- REALTOR® Certified Executive, Certified Multiple Listing Executive, or comparable association and industry credentials are valued but not required.

The position is based in Fort Myers, Florida, and requires an executive who will be actively engaged with the organization, its leadership, its members, and the communities it serves.
