Chief Executive Officer – United States

My client is a well-established international organization with a significant presence across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Following sustained growth and long-term investment into the North American market, they are seeking an accomplished executive to lead the establishment and expansion of their US business.
This is a rare opportunity to build and scale a US platform with the backing of an established global enterprise. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining the growth strategy, building a high-performing leadership team, developing key client relationships, and positioning the business as a market leader within the construction, real estate, and infrastructure sectors.
Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the CEO will be responsible for driving revenue growth, operational excellence, market expansion, and long-term enterprise value creation throughout the United States.
Location
The successful candidate will be based in the United States. Relocation assistance will be considered for exceptional candidates. Final location will be determined based on business strategy and market opportunities.
Compensation
Base Salary: $700,000 – $1,100,000
In addition to a highly competitive base salary, the successful candidate will participate in a substantial performance-based incentive structure aligned to business growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the establishment, growth, and long-term success of the US business.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive market-entry and expansion strategy.
- Build and lead a best-in-class executive leadership team.
- Identify and secure strategic client relationships across construction, real estate, infrastructure, and related sectors.
- Drive revenue growth, profitability, and market share expansion.
- Establish operational frameworks, governance structures, and scalable business processes.
- Act as the primary representative of the organization across clients, industry associations, government agencies, and strategic partners.
- Partner closely with the Board to define long-term business objectives and investment priorities.
- Evaluate acquisition, partnership, joint venture, and organic growth opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, legal, financial, and operational requirements.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and high performance.
- Monitor market trends and competitive activity to identify opportunities and mitigate risk.
Qualifications \& Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Real Estate, Finance, or a related discipline.
- MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 20\+ years of progressive leadership experience within construction, engineering, infrastructure, real estate, or professional services.
- Demonstrated success leading large-scale business units, regions, or enterprises with significant P\&L responsibility.
- Proven experience driving growth, market expansion, and strategic business development initiatives.
- Strong network of executive-level relationships across the US construction and real estate sectors.
- Experience launching, scaling, restructuring, or transforming business operations is highly desirable.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience operating within a global organization and collaborating across international markets is preferred.
