Job Description
**Chief Information Officer
Dubai, UAE \| Technology \| Competitive package \+ equity
Reporting to: CEO / Board
You have spent years building technology functions that actually work. Not the kind that look impressive in board presentations and fall apart under pressure. The real kind. Ones that scale, that ship, and that give a business genuine competitive advantage.
A rapidly expanding technology business based in Dubai is looking for a CIO who is done being a passenger in someone else’s ambition. This is a seat at the table, not a seat in the meeting. You will shape the technology vision of a business that is growing at a at a pace most organisations only talk about, in a market that rewards the bold.
The role
You will own the entire technology function. Strategy, architecture, infrastructure, security, and the team that delivers all of it. You will be the bridge between what the business needs and what technology can do, and you will be expected to close that gap faster than anyone thinks is possible.
This is not a maintenance role. It is a build role. The platform is growing, the ambition is significant, and the board wants a CIO who comes with opinions, not just answers.
What you will do
Define and execute the technology strategy aligned to a business that is scaling across multiple markets simultaneously.
Lead, grow, and develop a high-performance engineering and infrastructure team that ships with confidence.
Own the technology architecture — ensuring the platform can handle today’s demands and tomorrow’s ambitions without breaking.
Drive cybersecurity posture, data governance, and compliance across all jurisdictions of operation.
Partner with the CEO and leadership team to ensure every major commercial decision has the technology intelligence behind it that it deserves.
Be the external face of the technology function with strategic vendors, partners, and investors.
The person
You have at least 15 years in technology leadership, with a minimum of five years as CIO, VP Engineering, or equivalent. You have scaled a technology function through a period of rapid growth and know what it costs to get it wrong.
You are as comfortable in a boardroom as you are in an architecture review. You hire well, lead with trust, and hold people to standards that most organisations only aspire to. You have a point of view on AI, on cloud, on data, and you back it with evidence.
GCC experience is an advantage. A track record of building in high-growth environments is essential.**
