As a seated member of the Executive Leadership Team reporting directly to the CEO, this role is responsible for architecting the business-scale technology blueprint required to scale the enterprise from \~$400M to $1B\+. Moving far beyond the scope of a traditional, back-office CIO, this executive owns the strategic application of technology as a direct force multiplier for revenue growth, margin expansion, and rigorous operational discipline across the entire organization.

The Mission (How You’ll Lead)
- Scale the Infrastructure:
Lead massive ERP/WMS modernization and integration across complex, multi-location environments without disrupting ongoing operations.
- Weaponize Data:
Build a single source of truth and design executive dashboards that track margin leakage, customer profitability, and predictive analytics.
- Optimize the Engine:
Run a lean, high-impact operation (maintaining a tech budget under 2% of revenue) focused entirely on business outcomes over headcount.
- Protect the Enterprise:
Own the strategy for cybersecurity, ransomware preparedness, and vendor risk management, translating technical threats into clear financial terms.
- Develop Elite Talent:
Build, mentor, and accountability-map a high-performing technology team, making the tough but necessary talent decisions to keep goals aligned with company values.
What You Bring (The Must-Haves)
- Proven Scale Experience:
You have successfully scaled an organization from the $200M–$400M tier up to $750M\+, navigating geographic expansion, SKU proliferation, and system migrations.
- Industrial Pattern Recognition:
Deep experience in industrial distribution, manufacturing, logistics-heavy B2B businesses, or asset-intensive environments.
- Supply Chain \& Commerce Mastery:
Deep technical intimacy with ERP/WMS/Logistics platforms, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, EDI, and inventory visibility.
- Executive Gravitas:
The confidence to constructively challenge the CEO and executive leadership team, back up your disagreements with business data, and comfortably present to the Board.
- Change Leadership:
A track record of driving massive digital transformation where user
adoption
is prioritized over just deployment, preserving culture through growth.
First-Year Wins
Within your first 6 to 12 months, you will establish a rock-solid, real-time single source of truth for corporate data, fully integrate and optimize the independent ERP and WMS networks, and stabilize foundational operational tech to ensure zero friction for frontline teams.
