Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

A global technology and data solutions provider serving leading financial institutions is seeking a strategic, hands-on Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to lead and evolve its security function.

This is a high-impact leadership role with full ownership of security across both internal operations and client-facing products, spanning a complex environment including multi-cloud (AWS, Azure) and on-prem infrastructure. Reporting to senior technology leadership, you will define and execute the organisation’s security strategy while partnering closely with Engineering, IT, and Product teams globally.

You will play a key role in embedding security across the software development lifecycle, maintaining and expanding compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2), and ensuring strong data protection practices across international operations. With AI increasingly integrated into products and workflows, you will also establish and lead the organisation’s approach to AI security and governance.

Key focus areas:

• Security strategy, governance, and global policy implementation
• Application and product security across the SDLC
• AI security and responsible internal AI usage
• Risk management, incident response, and continuous improvement
• Client security, audits, and external assurance
• Cross-functional leadership in a distributed, global environment

Experience required:

• Senior security leadership experience (CISO/Head of/Director) within a SaaS or technology business
• Strong background in application security and secure development practices
• Proven experience with ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR compliance
• Expertise in multi-cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments
• Ability to engage senior stakeholders and lead globally distributed teams
