Job Description
Chief Technology Officer will own the systematic de-risking of the subsurface process end to end: the sequence of lab and field work that proves it out (each step indexed to the risk it retires), the
reservoir engineering that turns the reaction into a repeatable field system through pilot and FOAK, and the technoeconomics that govern cost at scale.
Reports to the CEO; carries technical authority with the board, investors, and partners. A technical leader who can map the roadmap to megaton-scale production.
You:
- Have personally carried a novel hard-tech or subsurface technology from R\&D through field /
commercial scale-up (first-of-a-kind or first-commercial). indexed to the risk it retires.
- Reservoir-engineering anchor - reservoir modeling, field-deployment design, injection strategy
- (O\&G / geothermal / mining pedigree). This is the reservoir-design side; field operations (drilling, completions, production) sit elsewhere on our team.
- Has interacted at the board level and udnerstands how to scale and put a roadmap in place
- Technoeconomic (cost) modeling; the chemistry-to-subsurface interface.
- Player/coach who likes working with early stage, lean teams
You likley come from a technology group of major service companies, Geothermal / EGS scale-ups, direct lithium extraction (DLE) and in-situ recovery, etc.
