Chief Technology Officer (Remote)

For our client, we are seeking a Chief Technology Officer (remote) to join the team of a leader in the Education, Government \& Non-Profit space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a mission-driven environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $290,000 – $320,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the technology strategy aligning with strategic goals
• Define and advance the organization’s AI vision and responsible AI operating model
• Drive systems simplification and rationalization to enhance operational efficiency
• Build and lead a high-performing Technology team focused on collaboration
• Oversee the design and implementation of technical architectures aligned with business needs
• Strengthen data and analytics capabilities for timely insights
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure optimal service delivery

Qualifications

• 10\+ years in technology leadership, including CTO experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
• Experience managing distributed or remote teams
• Proficient in modern technology trends for strategic decisions
• Track record of leading complex transformation initiatives
• Strong commitment to the organization’s mission and values
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
