Job Description

AIR is on the lookout for a dedicated Cloud Engineer to enhance our technology infrastructure with innovative cloud-based solutions. Join our team to help build, maintain, and secure our cloud environments, driving both innovation and efficiency.

Position Summary:

As a Cloud Engineer, you will design, implement, and manage our cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, scalability, and security. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, deploying cloud-based applications, automating processes, and optimizing cloud resources to meet our organization's evolving needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy scalable, reliable, and secure cloud environments using platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation for efficient resource management and repeatable deployments.
  • Automate deployment, monitoring, and maintenance processes to streamline operations and enhance performance.
  • Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure system reliability.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to support cloud-native application development and deployment.
  • Manage cloud storage, databases, and network configurations for optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Enforce security best practices, including identity and access management, data encryption, and compliance controls.
  • Document cloud architecture, configurations, and processes to ensure knowledge sharing and process continuity.
  • Stay updated with the latest cloud trends, tools, and best practices to ensure optimal use of technology.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing fundamentals, cloud architecture, and cloud services (e.g., EC2, S3, Azure VMs, Kubernetes).
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and automation tools.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK Stack).
  • Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Associate Cloud Engineer, Azure Administrator).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with experience working in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance standards.
  • Familiarity with hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
  • Ability to manage cloud costs and optimize resource allocation.
