Cloud Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Cloud Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Education, Government \& Non-Profit space.

This role will focus on designing, automating, and supporting secure cloud infrastructure that enables reliable operations across a hybrid environment. The Cloud Engineer will partner with technical teams to improve efficiency, strengthen access and security controls, and resolve connectivity and platform issues. This position also plays an important role in observability, compliance, and ongoing support for cloud services used across the organization.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $101,300 – $151,925 annually

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code for cloud infrastructure.
• Automate cloud operations to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Administer cloud identity and access management, including SSO integration.
• Support hybrid networking and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Monitor the performance and health of cloud platforms using observability tools.
• Integrate security controls into cloud platforms using relevant tools.
• Provide technical consultation to teams and assist with cloud solution implementation.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies and architecture concepts.
• Experience administering public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of infrastructure components including networking, security, and identity management.
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Familiarity with compliance requirements such as HIPAA and NIST 800-171\.
