We are now looking for a Cloud Engineer to join our team.
You must be based in the United Kingdom to apply.
This is primarily a remote role, but you must be able to join workshops and in-office days in Central London where required. Unfortunately we are unable to sponsor a visa for this role,
so you must have the right to work in the UK.
Responsibilities:
- Cloud architecture - you will be contribute to cloud infrastructure architecture discussions and offer best practice solutions to clients for a range of use cases from storage to compute
- Cloud infrastructure and software development - you will be able to build modern cloud systems using industry best practices including Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management.
- Project management - you will integrate with our clients as full engineering team members, you will be familiar with common project management approaches like Agile, Kanban and Waterfall and will be comfortable contributing to meetings and processes required by these approaches.
- DevOps and SDLC - you will know how to help developers release and maintain software according to modern CI/CD approaches.
- Operations - you will support applications and infrastructure that Releaseworks is responsible for, this includes joining a rota for 24/7 support on and on call basis. You will be able to debug common issues and implement observability patterns to understand and try to prevent problems from arising.
To succeed in this role, we expect you to:
- Hold one or more certifications in AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform
- Be proficient in Terraform
- Be proficient in at least one modern programming language, eg. Python, TypeScript, Go
- Be proficient in container orchestration, eg. AWS ECS, Kubernetes
- Be able to proactively look for opportunities to create value
- Be an effective team player and communicator
- Be part of our on call 24/7 incident response rota
- Understand agile software delivery processes and workflows
- Value kindness and high professional standards in your daily work
- Be ready to undergo a DBS check
