Position Summary
The Commercial Operations Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing Inside Sales, Rentals, Warranty Administration, Logistics, Equipment Purchasing, and Fleet Management functions. This role ensures operational excellence, regulatory compliance, asset management, and exceptional customer service while supporting revenue growth, profitability, and strategic business objectives. The Commercial Operations Manager is accountable for overseeing company-owned transportation assets, maintaining DOT compliance, and driving continuous improvement across all assigned departments.
The Commercial Operations Manager serves as a critical link between sales, operations, suppliers, and customers, ensuring the effective execution of business processes while maintaining high standards of service, profitability, and inventory management.

- Develop and monitor KPIs for all assigned departments
- Analyze operational data and prepare performance reports for leadership
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, reduce costs, and enhance customer experience.
- Lead cross-functional process improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- 5\+ years of management experience in equipment distribution, heavy equipment, industrial equipment, construction equipment, or related industries.
- Experience leading multi-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of sales operations, inventory management, logistics, purchasing, and customer service.
- Experience with ERP systems, inventory systems, and business reporting tools.
- Strong leadership and team development skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Financial and business acumen.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze operational metrics and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business management software.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
This position is primarily performed in an office environment but requires regular time in warehouse, shop, yard, and customer locations. The employee must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and use a computer and standard office equipment for extended periods, with occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. The role requires frequent communication with employees, customers, and vendors, as well as occasional travel between company locations and customer sites. Employees may be exposed to varying weather conditions, noise, dust, moving mechanical equipment, and heavy machinery when working in operational areas and are required to follow all company safety policies and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Occasional work outside of normal business hours may be necessary to support business operations.
