Job Summary

The Communications Manager is a key individual contributor within iQor’s Strategic Communications and Business Amplification team, responsible for executing high-impact corporate communications initiatives that strengthen executive voice, corporate reputation, and industry visibility.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Communications, this role is hands-on and execution-focused. The Communications Manager personally develops and delivers messaging across external and corporate channels, with primary responsibility for media relations, executive communications, crisis support, M\&A communications, corporate announcements, awards, and external promotions. This role partners closely with internal communications and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure message alignment across audiences.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and exceptional writer who independently leads communications initiatives from concept through execution, developing message architecture, drafting content, guiding creative through clear briefs, coordinating stakeholders, and managing the operational details required to ensure timely and effective delivery.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop and execute corporate communications strategies aligned with business priorities and brand positioning.

· Personally draft and edit press releases, executive messaging, thought leadership content, corporate statements, award submissions, crisis communications, and M\&A-related materials.

· Support executive voice and visibility initiatives, including speaking narratives, media messaging, and external positioning.

· Manage media relations activities directly, including identifying story opportunities, developing pitch angles, conducting outreach, and securing earned media coverage.

· Support crisis communications and business continuity messaging in coordination with senior leadership and relevant stakeholders.

· Develop communications plans for mergers, acquisitions, organizational changes, and other high-impact corporate milestones.

· Align messaging with the Social Media team to ensure consistency across corporate campaigns and executive channels.

· Provide messaging guidance and content support for corporate events, conferences, analyst engagements, and industry initiatives in partnership with Events and Creative teams.

· Coordinate corporate awards and third-party recognition programs that elevate iQor’s brand, leadership, culture, and innovation.

· Partner with Internal Communications to ensure alignment between external messaging and employee communications.

· Track media coverage and communications performance metrics to inform strategy and continuous improvement.

Skills \& Experience

· 6–8\+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or strategic communications within a corporate or agency environment.

· Exceptional writing and editorial skills across formats, including press releases, executive messaging, crisis statements, M\&A communications, awards, and social copy.

· Excellent command of the English language and AP Style.

· Proven experience managing media relations and securing earned media coverage.

· Experience supporting executive positioning and high-visibility communications initiatives.

· Familiarity with crisis communications and complex corporate environments.

· Strong project management skills with the ability to independently manage multiple priorities.

· High level of professionalism, discretion, and executive presence.

· Experience working across global teams and time zones preferred.

· Strategic mindset with a strong bias toward execution.

Education

Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.

Interview Process
