Reports to: Director of Total Rewards / HR Leadership

Works closely with: HR Business Partners, Finance, Payroll, and Business Leadership

Work Location: Corporate Office – Houston, TX (Hybrid)

Position Summary

The Compensation Analyst leads and supports compensation programs for Signal Energy, partnering closely with HR and business leaders to deliver competitive, compliant, and market-aligned pay practices. This role operates as an advanced individual contributor and serves as a key resource for complex compensation analysis, program support, and stakeholder consultation.

Key Role Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Act as a trusted compensation advisor to HR partners and business leaders on pay decisions, job leveling, and internal equity
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance job architecture, salary structures, and leveling frameworks
  • Analyze compensation trends, pay equity, and compression risks and provide recommendations
  • Provide market pricing analyses and job evaluations to ensure competitive salary structures
  • Prepare and support annual compensation cycles including merit and promotional programs
  • Partner with HR leadership on job evaluations, pay leveling, and compensation planning
  • Assist with design and administration of bonus and incentive plans
  • Review compensation survey data and job mappings for consistency
  • Review federal and state compensation legislation to ensure compliance
  • Maintain compensation documentation and audit-ready records
  • Ensure pay practices align with internal equity, market competitiveness, and budgets
  • Troubleshoot complex compensation issues and support organizational change
  • Provide compensation guidance and knowledge-sharing to HR partners
  • Adhering to all company rules, policies, guidelines, and expectations
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications / Skills / Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Five (5) or more years of progressive experience in compensation or total rewards
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and model complex compensation data
  • Experience supporting compensation cycles, job architecture, and market pricing programs
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive compensation matters
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with compensation tools (AON/HCA, CompAnalyst, ERI)
  • Knowledge of prevailing wage, Davis-Bacon projects, and compensation legislation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to present insights to leaders
