Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Sales Compensation Analyst to join their growing team. This role is ideal for a data-driven professional who enjoys leveraging analytics to support sales performance, compensation strategy, and business decision-making. The Sales Compensation Analyst will play a key role in administering and analyzing commission programs, developing reporting and KPI metrics, and providing insights that drive operational efficiency across the organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, advanced Excel and SQL experience, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable business recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret multiple sales compensation plans, providing clear guidance and recommendations aligned with company commission policies and programs.
  • Independently develop, maintain, and optimize complex database queries to support reporting, analytics, and cross-functional business needs.
  • Create and enhance data models, reporting tools, and dashboards that improve operational efficiency and support commission-related decision-making, workforce planning, and field performance analysis.
  • Serve as a key resource for commission-related inquiries by managing support communications through the Sales Analytics Support mailbox and phone channels, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
  • Support the development, administration, and reporting of monthly and quarterly sales goals and incentive programs.
  • Design, maintain, and distribute KPI dashboards and performance metrics to drive visibility into sales results and compensation effectiveness.
  • Partner with stakeholders to support CRM initiatives and leverage data to improve sales performance and reporting capabilities.
  • Conduct ad hoc research, analysis, and special projects to support business objectives and strategic initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in data analysis, sales operations, compensation analysis, business intelligence, or a related analytical role.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL, Access, and Excel, with working knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Solid understanding of relational database concepts, data structures, and data management best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets, identify trends, and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
