Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced

Construction Contracts \& Procurement Manager

to support a large-scale corporate real estate renovation initiative based in Pittsburgh, PA. This individual will serve as the lead resource for construction procurement, managing the full contract lifecycle for multiple high-value renovation projects while partnering closely with Construction Project Managers, Sourcing Leadership, and senior business stakeholders.

This is a 12-month contract with the potential for extension or conversion, located in Pittsburgh, PA or New York, NY, requiring 4 days per week onsite. The primary focus is on leading construction sourcing efforts, managing RFPs, negotiating complex AIA agreements, and ensuring successful contract execution for large commercial renovation projects. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with construction contracting, commercial negotiations, and office renovation projects, along with the executive presence to interact with senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Construction Contract Management: Lead negotiations and execution of complex construction contracts, including AIA agreements, amendments, master service agreements, and project-specific construction contracts for large-scale capital projects.
  • RFP \& Procurement Leadership: Own the end-to-end RFP process, including developing bid strategies, evaluating proposals, managing vendor selection, and leading commercial negotiations for multiple concurrent construction projects.
  • Construction Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with general contractors, architects, engineers, electricians, and other construction vendors while building strong supplier partnerships.
  • Commercial Negotiations: Negotiate contract terms, pricing, scope, and commercial risk for multi-million-dollar renovation projects while ensuring compliance with company standards and procurement best practices.
  • Stakeholder Partnership: Collaborate with Construction Project Managers, Sourcing Leadership, Legal, Finance, and senior business leaders to align procurement strategies with project objectives.
  • Contract Governance: Maintain contract documentation, ensure compliance with procurement policies, manage contract lifecycle activities, and support consistent contracting practices across construction projects.
  • Portfolio Support: Manage approximately 10–15 concurrent renovation projects, supporting large office renovation and workplace transformation initiatives with contract expertise rather than project execution responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • 8\+ years of experience in construction contracting, procurement, sourcing, or commercial contract negotiation.
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating AIA construction agreements and supporting capital construction projects.
  • Experience leading RFP/RFI processes, vendor selection, and commercial negotiations.
  • Background supporting office renovations, commercial renovations or similar large-scale construction environments.
  • Experience managing contracts for multi-million-dollar construction or renovation projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction procurement, contract structures, and project delivery models.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with executive and senior leadership.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong contract review and negotiation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience using contract lifecycle management or procurement tools such as Sirion, Ivalua, Oracle, or comparable systems.
  • Experience supporting construction programs valued at $10M\+.
  • Previous experience working across multiple simultaneous construction projects in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Why Join Us:

This is an opportunity to play a critical role in one of the organization's largest corporate real estate initiatives. You'll work alongside experienced sourcing and construction leaders while leading procurement and contract negotiations for high-profile renovation projects that will directly shape the future workplace environment. If you enjoy complex negotiations, working with senior stakeholders, and driving commercial outcomes on large-scale construction programs, this role offers both visibility and meaningful impact.
