Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced
Sheet Metal / Mechanical Project Manager
to lead commercial sheet metal projects. This role is ideal for a hands-on manager who understands commercial construction environments and values strong culture, field collaboration, and project ownership from kickoff through closeout.
You’ll oversee multiple projects within a tight geographic footprint, work closely with field crews and leadership, and help onboard and train team members on both job site expectations and company culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage commercial sheet metal construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Oversee scheduling, budgeting, labor coordination, and material procurement
- Coordinate with field supervisors, foremen, subcontractors, and general contractors
- Conduct job site visits to ensure quality, safety, and schedule adherence
- Train and onboard team members on company culture, job site standards, and workflows
- Review drawings, specs, change orders, and RFIs
- Maintain clear communication with internal leadership and external stakeholders
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a
Sheet Metal / Mechanical PM
in commercial construction
- Strong background managing projects such as government buildings, strip malls, or similar commercial facilities
- Solid understanding of commercial sheet metal systems and installation practices
- Ability to manage multiple projects within a regional footprint
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
