🚧 Superintendent Opportunity \| Kansas City Metro

Vertex People Solutions is partnering with a

growing, well-respected commercial contractor

to identify a

seasoned Superintendent

to lead field operations on projects in the $10M–$15M range.

This is a

high-impact leadership role

for someone who thrives in the field, owns the schedule, and takes pride in delivering quality work safely and on time.

🔨 What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead all

on-site construction operations

from pre-con through closeout

• Drive

schedule execution

, sequencing, and subcontractor coordination

• Develop and manage

3-week lookaheads and site logistics plans

• Enforce safety standards

and lead weekly site safety efforts

• Oversee

quality control

with a goal of zero punch list items

• Partner closely with Project Management to ensure

budget alignment

• Maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, and subs

🏗️ Project Experience (Ideal Background)

We’re looking for superintendents who have worked on projects such as:

• Heavy

foundations / utility infrastructure

• Precast parking structures
• Structural steel framing
• Ground-up commercial construction and/or complex renovations

👉 You don’t need all of these—but you should be capable of leading jobs of this scale and complexity.

✅ What Makes You a Fit

• 10\+ years in commercial construction (or equivalent field experience)
• Proven ability to

run jobs independently

• Strong scheduling and coordination skills
• Experience with tools like Procore / MS Project

(or similar)

• OSHA-30 (or willingness to obtain quickly)
• Known for

accountability, leadership, and problem-solving under pressure
