We Search People are happily working with a Commercial General Contractor based in the south of Georgia that has a strong pipeline of work and are now on the lookout to bring in a Construction Superintendent.

Position Overview

The Commercial Construction Superintendent oversees day-to-day field operations for commercial construction projects, with a focus on ground-up K-12 (education) projects. This role manages subcontractors, coordinates schedules, ensures safety compliance, and drives projects to successful on-time, on-budget completion while maintaining quality standards.

The Superintendent works closely with project management, clients, and field teams to ensure smooth execution from mobilization through closeout.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily on-site construction activities, ensuring quality, safety, and schedule adherence
• Manage subcontractors, labor, and materials to meet project requirements
• Coordinate with project management, clients, and design teams to resolve field issues
• Monitor project schedules and adjust resources to maintain timelines
• Conduct regular site inspections, enforce safety protocols, and ensure compliance
• Facilitate project closeout, punch lists, and turnover to owners or operations teams
• Track project progress, costs, and reporting for leadership review
• Lead field execution of ground-up K-12 construction projects, ensuring adherence to education sector standards, specifications, and timelines
