Did you know that there are at least 20m people in the UK in vulnerable financial circumstances, who are poorly served or unfairly excluded from mainstream financial services?

That’s nearly a third of all adults in the UK.

We are Fair4All Finance. We are a not-for-profit organisation working with Financial Services providers to improve the financial wellbeing of people in vulnerable circumstances by increasing access to fair, affordable and appropriate financial products and services.

We are continuing our work following our latest round of funding, and as a result we are now seeking

Content \& Communications Manager

to lead the planning, creation and delivery of high-impact communications that strengthen our influence across the financial services sector.

This is a strategic and hands-on role at the heart of our communications function. You will shape and deliver content that communicates a positive, evidence-based vision for improving financial inclusion — helping mainstream banks, regulators, policymakers and community finance organisations understand how financial products and services can improve resilience and wellbeing for people in vulnerable circumstances.

Working within a small, ambitious communications team, you will combine strategic thinking with delivery discipline, ensuring our communications activity drives awareness, engagement and action.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven organisation, ensuring resources are strategically aligned with our goals to drive meaningful social impact

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality content aligned to Fair4All Finance’s Strategic Communications Plan.
  • Identify and prioritise strategic content opportunities that support organisational goals.
  • Produce and oversee a wide range of communications outputs including articles, press releases, case studies, blogs, reports and multimedia content.
  • Lead and deliver the organisation’s social media strategy to grow reach and engagement.
  • Manage and optimise the Fair4All Finance website, using analytics to improve performance and impact.
  • Monitor, analyse and evaluate communications performance, providing clear recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure all communications align with Fair4All Finance’s brand, tone and values.
  • Collaborate across teams and support colleagues to produce clear, consistent and high-quality communications.

Essential experience \& qualifications:

  • Excellent copywriting, editing and proofreading skills with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences and channels.
  • Experience planning and delivering communications for both B2B and B2C audiences.
  • Strong experience developing and executing social media strategies.
  • Experience managing and improving website content using analytics.
  • Ability to translate complex subject matter into clear, engaging communications.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience working with designers or creative partners to deliver campaigns and content.

Desirable experience

  • Experience in communications, PR or media roles.
  • Experience building media relationships and securing coverage.
  • Understanding of how communications supports organisational strategy and stakeholder engagement.
  • Knowledge of UK financial services or financial inclusion.
  • Digital marketing or campaign experience.

Person Profile

  • Purpose-driven and motivated by improving financial wellbeing.
  • A strategic thinker who is equally comfortable with hands-on delivery.
  • Organised, proactive and delivery-focused.
  • A strong communicator and relationship-builder.
  • Curious, creative and confident working with complex subject matter.
  • Comfortable working in a small, collaborative team environment.
  • Able to work with ambiguity and take initiative.
